Global Economy links on the World Bank and IMF

This site is a useful list of Internet links for development economics and radical economics. Its specific purpose is to link to organizations challenging World Bank and IMF economic policies. It is hosted by Global Exchange, a US based "human rights organization dedicated to promoting environmental, political, and social justice around the world".

: The CPE is based at the University of Chicago, USA. The site is introduced as "a valuable resource for researchers in many fields" and offers the CPE's data sets and research. Users need to register to use the datasets. Research covers such subjects as social statistics of cities, the American Civil War and the FILAM Projects - a study of individuals born in various US cities between 1910 and 1935.
This site is based on the US textbook by Byron W Brown and provides exercises in microeconomic theory. Brown is Professor of Economics at Michigan State University. It is aimed at undergraduate economics students who have already studied a little. There are sections for students and lecturers. Students need to download printed instructions and Excel spreadsheets (Excel 97 or a newer version are needed) to tackle the problems set by the author. (The Excel files will only open with Netscape Navigator, not Microsoft Internet Explorer).
